Shots Rang Out

Shots rang out last night and as we always do we pull out our phones to check the Citizen app. These were loud, sounded almost too loud to be a gun. My wife thinks it's fireworks because it’s Easter. I don’t because who lights fireworks in the rain at 11:30 at night on Easter? Unfortunately I am getting better at knowing what a gun sounds like. “Report of shots fired”, minutes later the sirens and blue lights. I still have to take the dog out. Of course I walk towards the lights. On the way our neighbors standing outside tell me to “Be careful. Someone was shot.” I say, “Thanks for letting me know,” keeping 6-feet between us as we pass
